 This place deserved it’s own post and here is why. The combination of fresh, healthy ingredients in each unique, handmade sandwich is incredible! I haven’t been to a better tasting sandwich shop in my foodie career (a.k.a. life). It is amazing! Whether you’re feeling savory or sweet, hearty or light, these sandwiches will not leave you dissatisfied. Favorite menu items: Floater & Sproutwich sandwiches. 

 First things first: Haliewa bowls. That’s all I have to say. This account will make you crave Hawaii and acai bowls like nothing other. That being said, yes this place makes the *best* acai bowls that you will ever eat! My friends and I took a trip last summer and bought one every single day of our trip. Yes, they are that amazing. We still talk and dream about these pieces of delectable art. Acai bowls have become a trend over the last couple of years, but Haleiwa Bowls has mastered the perfect ratio of ingredients. Plus, what’s better than enjoying one of these bowls while chilling on the beach? Nothing I tell you. Favorite menu items: Blend Bowl with regular toppings and added raspberries and chia. 

 If you’re like me, though you love treats and enjoying yourself, my stomach does begin to get angry with me by the end of vacations. All the unhealthy food becomes hard to deal with! Luckily, the North Shore is home to one of the best healthy joints around. The Beet Box Cafe is a tasty, organic, authentic eatery with menu options for everyone. From burritos to salads and avocado toast to smoothies, this restaurant will make you tummy happy. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or a meat lover, they’ve got all the healthy options for your pallet. Favorite menu items: Burrito Babe, Beet Box Salad, and “Hello” Burger. 

 On the corner of Haleiwa Store Lots lies this classy coffee joint.  Once we took a second to walk in, we saw that this wasn’t short of amazing. An everything bagel sandwiches smoked salmon, capers, spinach, sprouts, locally grown tomatoes and dill green onion cream cheese creating one of the best lox bagels I’ve ever had. Another favorite treat we found on the North Shore was the locally made Coconut Peanut Butter. Yes you heard me right. Wow; and this place makes a sandwich with it! Hot panini with mango/papaya, honey, walnut-cranberry bread, and coconut peanut butter. Just try and imagine that party in your mouth. Favorite menu items: Lox of Bagel, Fresh Mango and Peanut Butter 

 Two words to describe Kono’s: good vibes. It’s such a chill-living, surfer dude-ing, yummy eating joint that everyone can love. Nestled in one of the popular town squares on the main road, this place is small in size, but big in personality. My favorite part (besides the food), are the employees. They were so helpful in assisting this indecisive food lover choose what she wanted to stuff her face with. Filled with breakfast and lunch foods alike, they even add a side of Maui Onion chips! My favorite!!! Favorite menu items: Avocado Veggie Wrap. 

 When a restaurant says Farm to Table, they should probably compare themselves to Kahuku Farms. This is definition of Farm to Table. They use all their ingredients straight from their own farm that is about 10 steps away. You can smell the freshness. It feels as if you grew the greens and are sitting down, eating and enjoying all of your hard work. The perfect definition of outdoor cafe. It gives you a sense of great gratitude for these people’s dedication and hard work to create wholesome, organic, healthy meals. Thank you farmers everywhere! Favorite menu items: Grilled Veggie Panini Sandwich and Farm Pizza.
